Overview

We are currently seeking an IT Infrastructure Design Lead for a program supporting research and development activities in the Health and Defense sectors. Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing a integration design for a suite of health devices systems, assuring communications connectivity to support system function in remote and austere environments.
  • Oversees team resolving IT hardware and software infrastructure (servers, networks, security, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate function of hardware, software or system functional specifications. 
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves issues with IT infrastructure including user systems, servers, storage and network connectivity.
  • Provides oversight to engineering teams to resolve operational needs.
  • Oversees team that applies security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment
  • Supports new developmental projects with technical and operational expertise. 
  • Ensures team maintains and complies with all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.

Minimum Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in hands-on managing communications/ network / system administration teams.
  • Knowledge of commercial and military communications systems and networks.
  • Knowledge of government information assurance, policy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of and experience in Local Area Network (LAN) design, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and sustainment.
  • 5 years’ experience with industry standard core services and infrastructure (such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
